Requirements: THIS CLUB IS INVITATION ONLY. Please fill out the interest form below. Strong math skills, MAP and STAAR scores. MUST be in 6th-7th grade. Fee is $150.
Meetings: Tuesdays, dismissal to 5pm.
Purpose: The competition is divided into four stages: school, chapter, state, and national. The problems increase in difficulty between levels—perfect scores are relatively common at the school-level, while winners of the written round at the national-level do not often achieve a perfect score. Each school is allowed to register ten students, including a group of four designated as the school team.
Name That Book (4th to 5th)

Requirements: MUST be in 4th-5th grade. Fee is $150.
Meetings: Thursdays 4-5pm.
Purpose: Name That Book is a competition for upper elementary and intermediate school students celebrating the love of reading. Student teams compete to identify quotes from books of various genres in this exciting event! Competition hosted by Harmony (district).
Spelling Bee (4th to 5th)

Requirements: MUST be in 4th-5th grade. Fee is $150.
Meetings: Mondays 4-5pm.
Purpose: A spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. To compete, contestants must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries, and recite them accordingly.
Code Monkey (4th to 5th)

Requirements: MUST be in 4th-5th grade. Fee is $150.
Meetings: Mondays 4-5pm.
Purpose: CodeMonkey is a fun and educational game-based environment where kids learn to code without any prior experience. After completing CodeMonkey's award-winning coding courses, kids will be able to navigate through the programming world with a sense of confidence and accomplishment.

Purpose: FLL introduces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences through guided, global robotics program, helping today's students and teachers build a better future together. Our three divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.

Purpose: Science Olympiad is an American team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Over 7,800 middle school and high school teams from 50 U.S. states compete each year.

Purpose: HPS-wide/ Regional Competition - Presented in partnership with FTW Robotics and Rice University, HPS Drone Race is the perfect event offering elementary, middle school and high school students an opportunity to get hands-on experience in STEM education in the form of an affordable, fast-paced game. Students will learn to safely operate a drone, work as a team, and research workforce applications of aerial robotic technology; all while having a blast!

Purpose: Junior Solar Sprint (JSS) is a competitive program for 5th- to 8th-grade students to create a small solar-powered vehicle. JSS competitions are sponsored by the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP), and administered by the Technology Student Association (TSA). Objectives of JSS are to create the fastest, most interesting, or best crafted vehicle.[1] Skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are fostered when designing and constructing the vehicles, as well as principles of alternative fuels, engineering design, and aerodynamics

Purpose: The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.

Purpose: The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) recognizes outstanding elementary students for their academic achievement and commitment to strong personal responsibility. The purpose of NEHS is to encourage and celebrate students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership. Members work to make a positive impact in their school and community through meaningful service projects and by setting a strong example for others to follow.

Purpose: Drone Academy introduces 4th and 5th grade students to the exciting world of drone technology. The purpose of the club is to build foundational skills in flight safety, drone operation, and basic engineering through hands-on activities and challenges. Students will learn to navigate drones through obstacle courses, complete team missions, and explore real-world applications of drone use in various fields. This club encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and responsible technology use in a fun and engaging environment.
VEX Academy
